Have you stuck your hands in the tank yet Dustin?
While your checking your levels, check for stray voltage to.
There was a dude came into the LFS yesterday that had,had a heater crack. The voltage in the water wiped out everything he had in 180 freshwater tank.

Re: dustins first tank. 120 gallon(lots of pics)

It's called a tank crash because it happens all of a sudden, without warning. Except you did have warning -- lots of people on here warned you.

It's hard to say what caused it exactly, but know that you're not alone, it happens to a lot of people... Sorry for your losses. I hope that the fish that are left make it through okay... You had some beautiful fish, it's sad.

Whenever something sudden happens like this, you have to think about contamination. Any possibility that any cleaning supplies or chemicals accidentally got into the tank?

I had a Passar (king) angelfish for about 6 months before oodinium massacred all my fish about three years ago. He did great with zoas. There is a risk with any of the large angelfish that they will nip at corals. the trick is trial and error to know which corals will be safe around a particular fish. They only way to know is to test it out
