ok so i have a delima, the only place in my house that can accommodate my RO unit is the spiket right beside my garage. usually no big deal but now that the temps are droping to the low 30's here at night i dont know what to do for top off and water change water, i mean i cant just go to the fish store every two days for top off water

Well, right now your RO is going into some sort of reservoir right? Or at least something similar.

Are you topping off with an auto? Or just taking a bucket and dumping it in? Im guessing bucket because the temp of the water wouldnt really matter if was an ATO. (just because as long as your ato is keeping filled the water would probably reach temp before it kicks on... and you would probably have a small heater in there.

Anyways... just take the cold ro and throw it in a garbage can and mix it and heat it.... no?

Re: dustins first tank. 120 gallon(lots of pics)

the ro fills a garbage can, but since it comes from the pipes that run to an outside spiket i can get barely any water made, thats the tempature problem, no new water is getting made, i have had it on for almost 24 hours now and the last time i checked it i was getting maybe four drops every five seconds

Is your RO unit spigeot only? Mine has a parasitic valve that taps right into the copper line. You might have to get an inline pump to boost pressure.
