1. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...28&pcatid=7928 would this work in a sump?

2. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...7&pcatid=18357 you think the big one will work for the 120? im going to use the 55 gallon for a sump.

FYI those priszm skimmers are junk for the price you pay for them so are the seaclones they will work but not for a pred tank. or a tank that size

Dude for an extra 50 bones you can get a great skimmer in the Octopus NW200 that should be more along the lines of what you should need/want. Predator fish are dirty messy creatures. Skimmers are one area that shouldnt be skimped especially in a pred tank.

This one. http://octopusskimmer.com/

I'm sure someone knows where you can get it cheaper or just do a internet search.

Re: LaFleurs 120 gallon project...

The Octopus NW150 or NW200 are similar in price to the Prizm but are much better skimmers.

The overflow box you linked to should work.I feel better with this one, added security of an aqualifter pump just in case siphon doesn't automatically restart after power is cut.

Re: LaFleurs 120 gallon project...

Many people buy SeaClones or Prizms only to find out firsthand that they just don't cut it, then they have to spend that same amount of money all over again to get a decent skimmer. The Octopus brand is great for the price. I'm running an Octopus skimmer on my 240 and have nothing but praise.
