Re: Yotes 125

Thats one to look at.But knowing Red Seas reputation,I'll give it some time on the market and see what kind of reviews it gets.
Right now,my main objective is getting it up and running.2 tanks sitting in the bed room has me cramped for space,so I've got to spped things up more than I really wanted too.

Re: Yotes 125

i've got two different skimmers for ya both have there good reviews and both have a few downs but i am having hard time deciding which i'm gonna buy for my 125 gallon.

this one i can get bill me later with no payments for 90 days and i've read all reviews on rc.

http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewItem~category~Vertex_Internal_Pinwheel_Prot ein_Skimmer_Saltwater_Aquarium_Supplies_Protein_Sk immers_In_Sump_Venturi_With_Needle_Wheel~vendor~Ve rtex_Proline_Aquatics~SearchStr~~action~view~idPro duct~VX1113~idCategory~FIPSISNW.html

or this one is which i originally wanted but the reviews on sicces pumps makes me nervous even though it is a beast of skimmer also.
http://www.marinesolutionsinc.com/ca...duct_info.html

both are same price both have same ups and downs about pumps but sicces are know to lock up.

here are links to both in action

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxB7BIiF9JE

and here are vids of msx skimmer(octopus)

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=msx+skimmers&search_type=&aq= f

i've been reading for past month on both these are 2 best skimmers for the buck out there right now for average joe who can't spend a fortune. and i'm mad cause i don't know which to order.

Re: Yotes 125

Thanks for the links D and Lion.I'll have to look at those a little closer when its time for the skimmer.
The sump system I got coming has a skimmer with it,which will get me through untill tax time. But I do plan to have a better skimmer, and actually run both.

Re: Yotes 125

Yote, congrats on the new tank, camera, and sump you have headed your way. I will be checking in on you daily. Having seen the picts in your other posts I know this tank will rock! Glad you decided to add the frag tank(hope that is still in the plans) and did you go with the sump/skimmer setup you showed me. If so that one was pretty sweet. Keep the picts comming and I can't wait to watch the choices you make.
I love the output of my K-4's so if you can get the 7's or 8's that would make that tank spin like a drunk cheerleader at a home comming party. Also I would go with the 3-250MH's if it was me. Just match the ballast with the best bulb on Sanjay's chart on RC.
Love my octo I got from marine solutions. It is a slime makin son of a gun!

Re: Yotes 125

that tank looks awesome. im really excited to see your build. one of the first builds i get to see from the beginning and dont have to go back 200 pages (biffer ) to see it. haha.

i havent heard or seen the best reviews for red sea but i know octo is a good brand. so far the one alex is using now works amazing. no issues as of yet which is a nice relief compared to the every day flood action we had going on at one point

super excited to see the build though!!!!!!!
