CPR AQUATIC, INC - Bak Pak 2R

a friend of mine is selling for $60, is it worth it? or would i be better off saving for a different one? anyone have this? pros/cons

I have it......bought if for $50 off my buddy, used.

It seems to work good although I need to break down the pump & clean the internals. It does collect a fair amount of skim mate, though. Just a bit noisy.

mine isnt loud. and its one of the older ones. about 5 years at least

 
Will this work? what about this? maybe if i do that would it work? can someone help me figure out the cheapest way to do this?

Damn... I ask a lot of questions. I feel annoying.

I love my Reef Octopus skimmers I have both HOB models and they are great. Very quiet, dont run hot and dont give me bubbles or over flow issues.

how did you guys get rid of the bubbles in the tank? i have it now and im trying to get it running perfect

Sometimes it just takes time to break in. I think mine took about a week to really get going
