params:
0 nitrite
0 ammonia
0 nitrate
8.2 ph

lights: 250 mh
did a water change last week.

have 1400 flow in tank (2 korelias

have a hammer coral that is doing nice and a anthelia frag that has just gon from 20 heads to 35 heads in 3 weeks and a mushroom that is huge!

I also have a refugium and the caulerpa is starting to turn purple anyone knoow why?

anemones need pristine conditions and an established tank around a year old and very intense lighting, and the corals you listed are fairly easy compared to an anemone....alot of petstores promote anemones in new tanks so you will come back and buy more

do you have a pic of that bc i cant tell my anemone is shrieviling up and i just moved it to a spot in the dark and its kinda pening up. Could it be it was just looking for a cave or there was just to much light?

How long have you had it? It's possible that if it came from a tank with less lighting that yours was just too much and shocked it. Anemones not only need to be acclimated to the water but a lot of times to the light as well, just like corals.

Good news i finally got the anemone and placed it in a cave and it is really liking it there it is completely opened.!!!!!!!!!!

I think my anemone is sick too. I just got it two days ago and it looked beautiful until this evening. When I came home it looked deflated and its insides were outside. Is this normal?

That anemone looks like its starting to melt ( die ) to me.

It was up and running when I purchased it with only crabs in it. The previous owner said he had it going for over a year. I have had it for about 3 months.

I agree with yote, it looks to be on it's way out. Carpet anemones are one of the hardest creatures and the hardest anemone to acclimate and keep alive in our tanks. Not to mention within a year or two, it would have grown bigger then your tank. I've seen them 12-24 inches across in a aquariums.

Is there any way to make it better and stop the melting?

I hate to say it,but naw. When an anemone starts down, theres nothing you can do but wait and see.Just keep a close eye on it.When you see it looking like it's coming apart, remove it.
