You could try adding a goby or you can choose royal gramma. But as in your case, maybe it is easier to go for goby as they are easier to acclimatize to new tank condition. Royal gramma can be a bit tricky and their temperament can also be quite unpredictable especially with clownfish. Either...
LOL. That reminds me of the same experience which I had last year. Sometimes aquascaping is so difficult. You have to please yourself and at the same time your fish as well. My royal gramma got very angry when I did that last time. :D
