Yes I agree with Bifferwine. You are over feeding and scrap the flakes. I started feeding flakes only when I started and the algae was crazy and could never get the water right. I since switched to every other day and frozen mysis and have had no problems.

Thanks just went to see what has happened in the tank and I noticed the tell tail signs of the goby. Piles of sand and many holes and caves dug under rocks. He might make an appearance tomorrow

Ok had to rearrange some rocks and now I can't see/find my DIamond Goby. Is it posable to trap them under rocks? They are fast little fellas and figured they would evacuate the are but I guess I never thought about them getting trapped under a rock.

Found this little hitch hiker on my rock today. Can anybody tell me what it is and if I should get rid of it while I can still see it.

Does anybody know or can recommend a good water change interval. I have a 50 gallon tank and was told by the LFS person to do a five gallons a week. Is this too much or is every two weeks a better interval? Rudabug

Had one but it died when I had to re do my tank a few weeks ago. Very cool mine was a brown one and yes they carry everything around on their backs. Saw the blue one and will get it later.

Have to go get water checked. I have a back pac protein skimmer a Tetra 45X filter and a blower. Here is a picture my son took today, It is the guy on the right. My water should be good I have a blood red shrimp that just molted, A Star brittle, a clown fish and four snails, maybe three snails now.

CMS have you had your tank lighting checked since the power failure? Maybe some components got fried and it is not obvious. The lights might be on but not to full power. \\rudabug

Does anybody know why a snail would leave it's shell? I don't believe it is deed because it is moving around, it may soon be dead though.
