... it's that thing on my finger. I found it in the bucket of water after washing my mechanical filter. Got quite a few of them.

Does it have a hard shell? Or is it soft?

yea, that's what I thought. I just saw another one in the main tank and got sucked out by the overflow. I'll to squeeze it next time I get my hand on one.
