Years ago in my last FOWLER setup, I maintained a colony of tiny pale wormlike organisms (which I believe were probably "Prolly Pods") that I had established from a culture taken from a large reef tank in an aquarium shop. These were lost when I moved to my present home and decided to take my tank down until a satisfactory niche might be found for it. After having been dry for some years, I am now planning to set the FOLWR up again soon. When I searched the internet for Prolly Pods today, I had no success in finding any vendors offering any cultures of them. I take it that they are often found in live rock; could I expect to just get them in the live rock that I use in my next setup or must I find someone with a reef aquarium from which to obtain a culture ?

pods will develop on their own as your tank matures but you can get some through macro algae you may get or i got some from here just to get things going when I hooked up my sump and refugium..joeknowsreefs.com|Reef Science Plankton - Live Rotifer & Copepod Culture
