I noticed this tonight as I filled up my tank to check for leaks. I'm not sure if it was there before I added the water, and I'm not even sure what it is. It looks like its between where the two pieces of glass meet.
Yeah man keep us updated. Mine should be here in a matter of weeks. I'll see if I can find the thread from another forum where a guy was having the same problem. He ended up changing the settings so that when the light first turned on it was at something like 5% of power and slowly increased...
Sorry about your problems with the Solaris. I'm sure PFO will fix the problem ASAP. You might just have to wait untill after Christmas though. From what I hear the problems are few and far between with the newer units and yours should work great once the problem is taken care of. My Solaris...
I myself don't see a problem with the tank at 84* as long as it doesn't go any higher. My 75g has been at 84* for the past 2 weeks and my corals and fish are doing great. I'd like to keep it at 80 but with my home A/c at 80 and two fans running I'm at 84*..
Any one use the coralife digital timer. I just got 2 on ebay for $20 each. Are they hard to set up?
What about jebo heaters. Anyone have any feedback on them?
I bought one of the those aqualizers on ebay for $40. I don't have my tank up and running but I'll do a test one with and without once I get it going and let you know. My LFS has one on each of their tanks and they have the cleanest tanks I've seen as in water quality.
So yeah I'm not very smart when it comes to the plumbing of a system. This is my first ever tank I'm setting up.
Anyways the drain line is pretty simple just a hose from the outlet to the inlet in the sump model 3. Its the return thats bugging me. My LFS told me to run both a UV Sterilizer...
Yeah its alot. The stand was $500 but that was about the average price of everybody I looked at. The tank takes up the rest of that which is almost $300. Again its a lot seeing as how I found the tank a week later for like $150. I bought it all from my LFS which at the time I would have went...
Well I figured it was time for a little update. I received my light and skimmer, bought my return pump, a power head, put another one on order and bought a heater. Just a few more peices and it will be ready for water.
Well tonight I ran them for an hour and a half. The good bulb was still blue and the Bad bulb was still yellow. The hood does have a built in fan and I haven't touched the bulbs at all. They are the ones that came with the fixture. (2) 10,000k double ended bulbs. I want to rule out the fixture...
Do the bulbs change color. The one that looked good last night, I looked at it a little better today and its got that rusty brown look to it. I'm thinking maybe it was just a burn in period and eventfully the light I thought was good will give of that same yellow light and turn white. The white...
OK so today I received my Coralife Aqualight Pro 48" unit. It's the 150 watt MH unit. Anyways one of the blubs looked perfect out of the box. The other bulb though had a rusty brown look to it. After hooking everything u I turned it on to make sure everything was working. I let the unit run for...
OK so my question is does anybody have any experince with them. Are they good or bad. I brought one today and just wanted to see what everybody thought.
So whats your experience with them. My LFS says I should use the Rio 2500 for my return pump. Says he's been using them for ever and never has a problem but all I see online is people having problems with them.
