Hello Amanda (or anyone else that is chemically inclined).

I got a pH meter/EC meter from work that we weren't using anymore. Is there any way I can make the EC reading useful to my tank? I'm thinking there's got to be a way somehow to convert siemens/decisiemens into something I can use like salinity or TDS? Right?

Thanks!

He's got you covered. Sorry, didn't see this til now-- computer at home is busted. Great find tho biff-- nothing like free equipment! Don't forget to calibrate... and I'd check the electrodes for degradation too. Depending on brand an style, those may need replacing. Good luck

It's a Hanna. I have calibration fluid at work but haven't gotten around to doing it yet.

I'll check and see when I get home. It didn't come with instructions or a case or anything.
