30 gallon sump with 55 gallon refugium

Hmmm I think I would go 55 gallon sump with a 30 gallon refugium. Same water volume but it would be easier to maintain the refugium that way. Give a little more room for equipment in sump as well. :twocents:

I do not think that the future 'fuge residents will complain about having 20gallons less volume if you go with a 30gallon 'fuge.
You on the other hand will most likely thank yourself later for allocating the 50gallon tank as the sump because you will have more room for equipment and maintenance.
