COMMON NAME - Bluestreak, Common Cleaner Wrasse

SIZE - 5 in (13 cm)

RANGE - Fiji, Maldives, Vanuatu

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE - 90 gal (341 L)

CARE LEVEL - Expert

TEMPERAMENT - Peaceful

FOODS AND FEEDING - This fish only eats parasites and dead skin off of other fish. Rarely, it can be trained to eat frozen foods. If the fish is being fed frozen food it should be fed a variety of high quality meaty marine frozen foods.

AQUARIUM SUITABILITY - Please leave this fish in the ocean.

REEF COMPATIBILITY - Yes

CAPTIVE CARE - This is an extremely difficult fish to keep. They only eat parasites and dead skin off of other fish. They tend to starve to death in our aquariums in a matter of days or weeks. Of all the cleaner wrasses, the Bluestreak Cleaner Wrasse is the hardiest, but still has a dismal survival record in captivity. Wrasses are known jumpers so the aquarium top should be covered.
