:question:I just got a clam in my 55gal tank he is about 2-3 " long and I want to know what I should watch out for when he is in the tank?

I know not to let him get covered in sand but
anything else should I know?
Who or what may eat him?
What are signs that he wants to change locations?

--- right now he is in the sand in direct T 5 light

Thanks

So I dont think you have any worries on what could eat your clam

Id check on it in a few days to see if it has attached itself to its possition
if not try another location in the tank My clam is sittin on the crushed coral under my 265 Watt PC and is firmly attached somewhere .lol
Hope this helped

Thanks everyone!!
Sorry I posted it in the wrong spot. Where should we have posted it? I'm really not good at this computer thing.

Great looking clam. From what I have read any clam 3" or under needs many direct feedings, then when it's over 3" it will get most of its food from the light. Good luck with it, it is a beut.
