Drip acclimation

Are there instructions on making a drip acclimation setup?

I just used a bucket and some airline tubing. Tie a knot in the tubing and then adjust it so it drips at the proper rate.

+1, Erin. Same thing that I do. Just make sure you have your favourite food or drink nearby for after you start the syphon. ;)

Yes there is no need to drip acclimate corals as they dont get stressed as much as fish.

I do the same, except I float in my sump while I drip acclimate to keep the temps stable.

True, but make sure you dip your new corals! Always practice safe reefing!

I use a tiny airline-sized valve to control the flow of the airline tubing :) I actually acclimate in the sump, that way it also acclimates to the temperature at the same time the drip is going.

You dip the corals in saltwater that has the dip added to it. I have never heard of the coralTXoneshot stuff. What do the directions say?

Sorry. I mispelled it. Yes it is Coral RXone shot.
Coral Rx says to pour 1 gal of water from your aquarium into a bucket, add the vial of Coral Rx. Shake your corals in the] solution for 5-10 minutes rinse with clean saltwater and return to tank.

Im geting nw coral today from LA. I guess I can use this Cotral Rx before I put them in my tank? As I said before Im a little nervous to shake corals in the water but was it you little fish that said that they are hardy and it wouldn't bother them?

yep. I would also let them sit in there for 20 minutes and then shake.
