Easy SPS

so i like my LPS but ive always had my eye on some SPS especially a birdsnest and monti caps, ive only ever tried the monti caps but i have had bad luck with them dying after about a month or two, what are some good starter SPS?
my tanks been up for 4 months

with SPS what else must i check for? or just the same Magnesium, alk, calcium

i dont have a magnesium test , but i do have an alkalinity Red Sea Ph Alkalinity Mini-lab Test Kit | BuySmrt.com
as you can see it just has 3 sections my kH is in the " normal " range should i use another type to give me a closer range or is this fine?

my calcium is in the 480 range

The Green Slimer acro is the easiest SPS from my reseach & experience. Birdsnest & Monti's aren't that hard either, When your monti was right @ deaths door...was it white? Brown? How were your phospates @ the time? Were any Leather corals present? Water params,lighting,inhabitants & last appearance of that monti will help you better understand exactly where you went wrong.

+1 Chuck...the acros seem to be easier. With one or two sps's, your other levels will stay in check from just your regular water changes.
