Fluidized bed filters, are they worth adding to a wet/dry sump set up?

Title says it all, I have a wet dry sump rated for 100 gallons on my 40 gallon reef. I was thinking of adding a fluidized bed filter off the sump, are they useful? I do have an in sump protien skimmer and a refugium in sump, a uv sterilizer in line right before water is returned to the tank.

Some folks like em.The only reason I personally would add one is to maybe run phos-ban or something like that.But thats just me.
