General Clownfish Question

I have had an ocellaris clown fish for 5 weeks and decided it would be nice to get him/her a mate.

so i bought another..........i made sure that it was smaller than the original clownfish because i heard that they change sex to adapt to become a pair, this was 2 weeks ago.

Firstly............is this true????

Also how do i know, is there any physical signs between male and females, they appear to get on well, and when the evening light (moonlight) comes on they come together and settle down together. I take it that this is a good sign?

Forgive my ignorance and also lack of correct terminology, only been in this marine world for last 2 months.

well first off one isn't dead yet, so that's good #2 the bigger one will turn female if she hasen't allready.#3 I bought a mated pair of maroon's so as not to kill any fish trying to pair clown's. little more exspensive that way but, it's worth it.and by the way she is considerbly bigger than him she's like 2 1/2 to 3" and he's maybe 1" to 1 1/4" hope this help's..

I'd say you're in great shape if the clowns are sleeping together at night.

Just keep in mind that clowns are inherently spawns of Satan himself.

Or at least I've never had good luck with them.
