They look like some sort of polyp. Do they ever open up more like zoanthids or show feeding tentacles?

Looks like it mightve been something in the Tunicate family, but has since died off.

it is hollow inside....so it could not be a polyp or an egg. I'll try to get a closer/clearer pic.

I have a none photosynthetic coral that came on a piece of live rock that makes little tubes like that. If I look really really close I can see tiny clear tentacles around the edges of the tubes for feeding. If you never see those it could just be whats left of a colony that died off already.

That's what I was thinking. But what the hell is that green growing around them? Just looks like zoo skirts but not really.
