Ummmm, she is trading baby formula not a child. Something tells me it "fell" off a truck. Or she over estimated how much she needed for her baby. Just so you know, that stuff is expensive as all hell. When my boy was on it, it cost more for him to eat than for two adults in the house. Of course he had acid reflux problems and could only keep down the expensive shit.

Sorry I dont see anything wrong with it. Formula is pretty expensive and if you buy a lot of it at costco or you get it given to you, or you are sent formula from these companies, you can end up with a lot of it. I went through 4 different kinds of formula before I realized that Gerber was the best for my daughter and Similac made her constipated. If it doesnt work for your baby get rid of it. But you cant just return it and people always try to lowball you on it.

Don't worry amba. I find it weird also. Idk why but it just is to me. Kinda like they are selling their babys food while they still need it maybe? Who knows lol

Ya, that stuff is expensive. And the powder is no where near as much as the liquid!
Baby's can either prefer or not do well on one brand or another so that could also be what happened. She could have gotten a bunch at a baby shower or something. Way to many scenarios here to pass judgement.

Chances are it was leftovers from her own kid. I had a couple of cans of formula and a couple of packs of diapers that I had leftover from when my kids no longer needed them. I passed them on to a friend.

But yes...babies are friggin' expensive LOL

I'm not meaning to pass judgement, I probably should have titled the thread differently, but that's what it striked me as when I read it the first time. I just found the ad strange is all, and yeah that kids stuff is insanely expensive, when I worked at a grocery store we had to keep it locked up for customers to ask for it. I don't know if it was because its 20-30$ a can, or because you can cut it with cocaine to mask the drug.

My guess is one of two things the first strikes me more since i worked at a grocery store for a while and that being this: The woman has some form of government assistance (I'd assume WIC) and is basically finding a way to sell them off for a little profit or swap. We had people who would trad their EBT Assistance card (food stamps) and the pin number for cash as well. It's an abuse in the system by those who didnt need the assistance or who were feeding an addiction.

The second one is probably more innocent and is leftover from before. I was always suspicious and still am since working at that place about peoples motives etc.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Maybe not, but especially in the city I live in, people do that kind of stuff all the time.

Yup you guys are right. My birth mother tried to sell her granddaughters formula and food stamps for money to fuel her alcohol addiction. Lots of people do crap like that. Makes me so mad..
