LED overnight?

So I got my Ecoxotic Stunner LED strip and it makes the tank look amazing with the other lights off, but doesn't make a big difference when the other lights on. So my question is, can I run this thing as a moonlight, or is essentially running an actinic 24/7 a bad thing?

Its pretty bright, just shy of dawn/dusk.

After talking up the color, I thought some pics were in order. These were tough to get as I didn't have a chance to set up the tripod. I'll do that another night. It was especially hard to get the red right with a hand held photo.

You could do a moonlight schedule...but IMO, that light seems pretty bright for the corals to be used as moonlights. They need that dark/night period also.

Too bright of light might keep some corals from sending out feeder tentacles.

So you have to decide if they are too bright or not.

I personally leave my moons on all night.

Just schedule them to turn off around the average time you go to bed.

Yeah, these are way too bright for Moons. I went ahead and turned them off after I took pictures.

Beautifull shots Eric! Looks like everything is doing really well for you! With your permission would it be allright to use the spiderman pic for a frag size reference pic for the site?
