My Emerald crabs suck....

These little guys love the bubble algae,but haven't touched the hair algae. Do they like to eat it or have they not found it yet ?
I have a bit growing in my sand, my clean up crew must be lazy or something.

I've never seen an emerald eat hair algae myself

Mine ate my hair algae up. Complete in tank lawn mowing service.

They are sort of hit or miss and have the potential to go rogue and do damage-a few years ago I had one that ripped apart my expensive scoly to get at its gut contents(I had fed the scoly that night) IMO- they are not reef safe and need to be watched!! I no longer keep them, nutrient control is a better algae control method-take care of the root problem

My problem is minor. I have 2 little patches on LR, I've seen the crabs trim it. Also was picking at macro . Gonna keep a eye on them now after your comment.
