Thanks Sarah, coming from you is a great compliment, last night at 2:30am i came downstairs to find the return pipe from the UV filter had come off and was emptying the tank full bore, lucky enough I only lost 60 litres, but if I had not woke up the tank would have emptied and the lot lost the H.Crispa is still healthy:frustrat:

Are you using canister filters, bioballs or HOB filters? That's usually the cause of high nitrates that just won't budge.
