I'm having trouble aiming my power heads. I pointed one at a downward angle towards the opposite corner and the other one up to make a ripple on the top. Where I'm having trouble is on the one I pointed down it moved all my sand around and completely changed the bottom of the tank. What did I do wrong?

you dont want to point it directly towards the bottom of the tank.. keep one almost blowing straight and the other tipped up some to get the ripple at the top.. Ideally what you are trying to make is a whirlpool effect with currents hitting eachother in spots to to simulate alternating currents..
