Regal Tang

My Regal Tang is acting really strange , he now picks up my sand sifting star takes it up to the top of the tank and then drops it, he also does it with my hermit crabs and does the same, is this odd or has anyone else had this ?:frustrat:

Yes.
Regal tangs / Hippo Tangs are very playful fish.
Maybe it just likes to play with the starfish and the hermit crabs and give them a tour of the aquarium.

I dont have a big enough tank for a regal but it does sound kind of funny/odd...now I can see where he is coming from...I have wanted to drop a few hermits myself...they get kind of annoying...

Sounds like an awesome tang. I wouldn't worry about it unless it's being overly aggressive or harming the other tank mates.

It might be a sign of aggression - regal tangs need 6-8ft long tanks and fish can often become aggressive if they are in tanks that don't give them as much swimming space as they need. I'd keep an eye on it and see if the problem behavior extends beyond the inverts.
