Im getting some sps corals from a gentleman that I dont know very well for the first time. What do you recommend to properly treat them for parasites? Please give your recipes and times. Thank you.

I will tag along on this. We have our frag swap coming up and I have never dipped my sps.

for me i just do a lugols iodine dip for 20 minutes. i believe it is 40 drops per gallon of water (but im not sure, its something like that, the intrustions are on the back of the bottle under coral dip)

I've read that freshwater dips are beneficial to removing parasites from corals:twocents:.

I use the Lugols iodine and do a 20 to 30 minute dip.Then I see parasites,I'll give it about a 2 second freshwater dip.

I don't dip anything, but lots of ppl in my reef club swear by Tropic Marin Pro Coral Cure (TMPCC).
