Two things

First... I got my chalice to eat a for the first time a couple days ago. He's had his tiny tentacles out ever since! Woop woop!

Second thing... I have this purple sponge growing on a branching hammer skeleton. It's starting to spread to the rock next to it. It's probably nothing, but should I take it out?

I like the sponge. If it spreads too fast, they are easy to peel off. But it's harmless.

Thanks guys! I wasn't super worried about it but I realized it's been spreading. I figured if it was bad I'd be better off nipping it in the bud now.

I have some of that too. It won't hurt anything unless it starts to cover a live coral. I personally like the color it adds.

At least your hitch-hiker sponges are a cool color. Mine are WHITE....I think it's neat, I'd let it spread around. See what it does. Not something you see everyday.
