Finally got the tank set up, sure is empty...

thats the same tank i have, youll like it. although the only complaint i have about it is the overflows being placed where they are makes aquascaping interesting

Are you going bare bottom?

No looking to get sand, i have just dumping a whole lot of money into this and want to take it one step at a time. trying to smooth at as many bumps as possible. How many pounds of sand should i need? 48" X 24"

No, go with sand over crushed coral. There are numerous benefits to sand. And very few benefits to using crushed coral.
