I've been researching urchins since I found him, so I heard about the coralline. I have some I can afford to lose for this little guy. He's pretty awesome.

Yes it was a hitchhiker in some Florida Live Rock.

when i explained it to my LFS, they said it was a pencil urchin, but it doesn't look anything like a pencil urchin up close, that's why i was confused.

i just noticed this sea urchin, but i have no idea what kind it is. can anyone help me? the pointy parts are purple and the body is black and fuzzy

jeez, thanks a lot for the help, but it turns out that i just hadn't hooked up the air line at all. I'm chalking that one up as a blond moment. *shakes head at herself*

Now there are bubbles in there, and they are moving, but you have to look really close to see them....

how do i check that?

I have an aqua medic turboflotor blue 1000, it's the one that hangs on the side of the tank with a pump just inside the water and pvc pipe on the output spot, and a collection cup up on top. I just had to replace the intake pump on this, and when they finally managed to send me the right pump...
