Sarah, my large leather toadstool has still not opened, I have tried it on the sand , on top of the rock which is around 12" from the top of the tank, it is now half way up 6" from the bottom and 18" trom the top and it still won't open , what is wrong with it nitrates are normal but phosphates...

Is that an answer to my question re the royal tang?

My Regal Tang is acting really strange , he now picks up my sand sifting star takes it up to the top of the tank and then drops it, he also does it with my hermit crabs and does the same, is this odd or has anyone else had this ?:frustrat:

Re: Phosphate problem You may not believe this but I purchased a test kit for phosphate by Salifert and my phosphate reading today was 0.03ppm , how can they differ by so much?

The bulb is 12 inches from the water in the fuge but the CFL bulbs do not get very hot

Sarah , I do know now that my tank is well overstocked , my fish are pets and all have names which my granddaughter gave to them , apart from buying a larger tank and start again is there no other answer , am I to suffer high phosphate for ever ? Or get rid of 50% of my fish

I have had no success with Chaeto it just will not survive in my sump , plenty of movement and a bulb 6500k , what is the answer to keeping Chaeto alive ?

I use .02 g per litre , which is equal to .222gallon (.02g to .222gallon)
