    BTA Help

Well the BTA didn't make it. It was wedged between some rocks upside down, when I pulled him out it had looked like my crabs got to him. I did change out the filter yesterday but I guess it was too late.

    Fin rot?

Thanks! It seems to be eating just fine and the cleaner shrimp takes a look at him every once in a while. I guess the Coral Beauty could have gotten a little too close to the anemone and the clown got him!

    BTA Help

I have had a BTA for about 6 weeks now and it seemed to be doing great. My stubby Ocellaris started to host it within 3 days and everything seemed to work out great. Last weekend I did a 10% water change and replaced the airstone in my protein skimmer and turned it up a little. It seems that...

    Fin rot?

I bought this coral beauty from the lfs a few days ago and noticed it yesterday. Is this fin rot or could it be one of my other fish bit it? What should I do and should I be concerned? It's hard to get a good picture but it has a section of his top fin gone but it looks like the skeleton is there.

    Rose Bubble-Tip Anemone Reproduction

I have a had a BTA for about a month and my female Stubby Oscellaris started to host it in about 2 days and the male about a week. The BTA didn't move around a whole lot, just into the shade with just the bubbles sticking out. I did a water change a few days ago and it seems like the BTA is...

    Sand Sifter on the Glass

I have had a Sand Sifter Star-fish for about 5 or 6 months now and I had never seen him climb the glass on the tank and today he did! Its kinda freaking me out because it gets all the way to the top and he even fell. Is this normal? Could it be because I rearranged the tank about a week ago?

    Some softie in my zoa

I was looking at what seemed to be a baby snail on the left side of my zoa and when I got to the right side I saw this. It looks almost like a feather duster but with a soft tube and more feathers. Any ideas?

    Film from my mushroom coral

My mushroom coral started to excrete some sort of stringy slime today and I was just wondering if its normal. This picture is of the string stuff that got caught on a snail. And if you look closely, it's coming out of the mushrooms mouth (I guess that's what you call it)

Is this critter good or bad?

Sorry about posting it twice, I did it from my phone and thought I posted it in the IDENTIFICATION forum and didn't see it because I posted it there not knowing I posted it in the wrong forum. And to answer your question, yes they turn orund when they change direction. Thanks all!

    ID my mushroom coral!

I bought this mushroom about a month ago and I forgot what kind it was. Any ideas? And where should I put it? It seems to be ok on the substrate but should I put it on a rock?

    Is this normal?

It does kinda look like those amphipods. Only super tiny! And you say they are harmless? That's good to know. Thanks!

    Is this normal?

I found these things crawling around my live rock yesterday. And there was a tiny shrimp thing all under my zoa. It was moving quick! But anyway, what is this? Its the brown thing in the center of the picture. It looks like a tiny centipede about 1/4" long with a bunch of legs.

Is this critter good or bad?

Just yesterday I found a bunch of little tiny clear shrimp things running around under my zoa but this is the thing that puzzles me. It's a little light brown critter about 1/4" long. They are all over. It's the light brown thing in the picture.
