    Samhain's 90 Gallon Reef

Super glue and duct tape is a good start, but don't forget the bailing wire!

    Any suggested Liverock suppliers? Combos?

Yes, and his rocks DO come from the ocean. Check out his web site. He leases acres of underwater space to "grow" the rocks and then dives to harvest them as needed. Live Rock - Tampa Bay Saltwater Aquacultured Live Rock Charlie

    Any suggested Liverock suppliers? Combos?

Tampa Bay Saltwater, hands down. He cultivates his rock from construction rubble, lets it grow for a couple years and then harvests it as it is ordered. No destruction of live coral reefs!! It comes with all kinds of critters growing on in and in it. It's expensive, but you can't beat it...

    Mantis shrimp!

Do plenty of research first. Make sure that's what you really want. They are neat, but are or can be VERY agressive. I had one once by accident. It came in my live rock. After it killed just about everything, I had to tear down the tank to catch it. See my avatar.

Blue Hippo Tang - need help PLEASE

OK, thanks for all of the input. I do have lots of rock work to swim thru and hide in. I haven't tried the Formula II food, so I'll pick some up and try it. :)

Blue Hippo Tang - need help PLEASE

I'm not sure. There were about 15 fish in his tank. I also got other fish at the same time and they are all eating just fine. He shows no signs of any distress or obvious desease such as ich. Just not eating.

Blue Hippo Tang - need help PLEASE

I bought a Blue Hippo Tank a week ago from a LFS. It is about 3 1/2" long so it's close to mature, if not already. It was in a tank with lots of other Hippos and looked very healthy. Since I've had it home it won't eat. I've tried various frozen foods, pellets and seaweed salad with no...

What sizes holes to drill for the drain?

If I were you, I'd get my plumbing figured out first, thinking about return, fuge, etc. Then I would check at my LFS and see if they have the bulkheads there, or order them. THEN I would have the tank drilled by a pro. It would be a shame if it cracked while you did it. Glass is not easy to drill.

how often do pistol shrimps make their noise?

Well, I've had both a Mantis Shrimp (see my avatar) and I now have a Pistol Shrimp/ Goby pair. They both sound about the same. My Pistol seems to snap to get my attention when the Goby is hungry. The Mantis snapped when he was after something or I teased him. Keep your eyes open and be...

    My Tampa Bay Saltwater Package

I got my rock from TBS also and if you look at my avatar you will see my Mantis. After he ate all of my clean up crew and started going after my fish, I just had to take him out. :grumble: He is living at the LFS waiting; so far with no luck, to be adopted. Be careful what you wish for...

    Holy Crap!!!

Well, it's not looking good. My CBS has molted before and I have seen him soon after. I have not seen him at all today. I think the anemone had him for a snack. Sad day in our tank. :(

    Emerald Crabs lifespan?

I have one in my tank from last Feb and is still going strong. He has grown to about the size of a quarter (arms included). Pretty much sticks to himself and just picks away at the rocks. He is a RED variety. I have had the green Emerald ones before and they have lived for quite a long time as well.
