Isn't that a little counterproductive? I know theres some people that just leave it on, but I know theres a good number of people that turn them off as well. Just so the extra rotifers etc aren't being taken out.

I already have anthias and I run my tank open top, so wrasses are out for me. :( too bad because I love wrasses. I did just pick up a nice looking mccosker wrasse for my bc29.
Look for a bag of 'southdown' sand in your area or online. It's my favorite sand for tanks. Its small grain and reflects well and overall gives a great look. Or... You could go bare bottom. :)
Get a fairy wrasse, they are aweeesome!
You could do what I do and just leave the tank low on fish so that your able to 'impulse' buy ones you really like. ;)

Also the rock your attaching it to should be small and movable. Not a large chunk of your aquascape. They can get pretty large and it's always easier to move around a small rock then having to cut and potentially damage the coral.
