have you had any trouble with the par38 overheating? the two i have had overheat like crazy and the blues burn out. whats the longest youve ran it? if it doesnt im certainly going for it.
i have the par38 that you have, got it from ledwholesalers. it grows coral great. but it needs some modification because the blue led's overheat the way it is setup. are you willing to ship? would you take 50 for the par38? you can get them new for 62 dollars.
but ive seen 55 gallon aquariums lit by one. that grow tons of coral. i think this is prefered because it provides you with an opportunity to keep many types of coral. from non photosynthetic to the most light hungry corals you can buy.
if you dont want to spend too much you cant focus on getting name brands, sure quality is better but you get what you pay for. these will grow coral but they arent made as well as the thousand dollar ones.
