I purchased a condy along with 2 host clown fish can somebody tell me if this annenome will be safe with corals? Also, what is the best way to feed it and what? :bowdown:

I'm sorry if you misunderstood me. I have not vacuumed the tank. I just want to know if it is ok to have all kinds of poop on the live sand and which janitor is best for eating it. The entire bottom of my tank from only (5) turbo snails is mind boggling. But I did all my tests this morning...

Other than vacuuming all the poop out of my tank, what other ways or janitors can I use to get rid of this mess? I'm 2 weeks into my cycle and dont want to slow this process down by discarding water. HELP PLEASE??? :question:

thanks for the help. I did take a sample of water to the LFS and they saw exactly what I was reading, ZERO. That is why I add my janitors. I'm just as confused but my tank is in good condition. All I'm trying to do now is slowly increase the S.G. to 1.023 by dripping a higher concentration...

When and how do you determine that the cycle is complete on a new tank? My tank is 2 weeks old with 50lbs live rock live sand refug with live mud 4 chromis 5 turbo snails 7 hermit crabs 2 emerald crabs 1 bristle star And all my readings of ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are ZERO...

Good idea. Trying to describe a little critter is very difficult when there are so many that look alike.

I plan on adding several corals and few fish. Would you say it is a big risk to have emerald crabs and hermits with my corals? What is your experience with these types of crabs? What does your tank consist of?

Specific Gravitiy DUMMIES what is an acceptable specific gravity? My CORALIFE HYDROMETER has a range window of acceptable between 1.020 -1.023. Is this a good window to be in? Currently, I'm in the middle of my cycle and I am reading 1.021. Please advise. :bowdown:
