I would kill my husband if he had all the stuff in that first tank video.... Our tank is in a huge oak cabinet & all the "contraptions" (skimmer, filtration, etc., etc.) are tucked away underneath. Except the cooler.... it sits next to the cabinet on the floor.

I often ask myself why the fish that "most" people have are so boring compared to saltwater fish..... and why God would put them all deep in the ocean where no one hardly sees them?? Except Him and the scuba divers who go to catch them! :)

It's worth it for all those goergeous fish that freshwater tanks can never even hope to have in them!

It is a great hobby, but expensive and time consuming. Make sure you have both before you get too far in over your head! :)

Agree with all the above. He can get all the food he wants at the bottom of the tank, so for a while there's no reason for him to come out of hiding.

I have never even heard of anyone using anything other than RO water.

So what kind of fish is it anyway?
