Well he doesn't want to do it and I'm not messing with that so I'm out of luck :/

I asked my local reef store to do it and was told I shouldn't do it. The glass is too thin and will crack easily :(

Thanks. Im still planing on what I'm going to do. I want a sump for this tank but I don't like hob overflows. Would it be a good idea to drill a tank this small?

Just got a 10g off craigslist to start up. I just got a house and had to get rid of the 58g :( I have a lot of stuff I still need for the house so this will be a slow process. I just needed a tank. Dont care how big :) after I painted the back

k i'm back :) i've done a few things to my tank since ive been gone i got rid of the salfin tang and got a goby instead and i changed the rocks around.. looks better? since the power outage from SANDY these corals look different. the birdnest is now white and with the galaxia the polys barely...

Wouldn't the algae scrubber do the same thing as the skimmer

do you guys/girls think i'll be alright if i remove my protein skimmer. i currently have about 60lbs of live rock , 50lbs of sand in dt and 20lbs in sump. I'm also running a santa monica hang on glass algae. i was thinking of removing where the skimmer is and filling that up with new live...
