I started my own Phytoplankton cultures today. Melevsreef.com - Phytoplankton Here is is my first culture .I should have 3 bottles of live phytoplankton ready on Sat.The other container in the photo are rotifers .My corals should like that snack.

U said it was a fish only turn thee lights out for a few (3) days .In the above post he said it needs light .Starve it out

I want to know what peoples thoughts are about running carbon in a reef aquarium .

I do not think the IO has what a reef tank needs with out some additives. Calcium is low .I use Oceanic and it mixes clean.

I agree with Biff and the others there are things that are depleeded from the water and a change is the only way to replace them.I do one big change once a month and small ones weekly.After every change my corals seem to come to life and grow the best .They open up bigger.
