I don't plan on this tank ever being a reef just a FOWLR. because I would like to put a large angel in so do you think a longer tank would be better or the wider one? I am thinking it would prob. be easier to aquascape and clean the wider one but would it be better to have a longer area for the...
I am finally going to get my bigger tank but I can't decide on the size I wanted to get a 125 long (72x18x22) but someone told me I should get a 150 (48x24x30)instead. isnt it better to get a longer tank? I plan to put some larger fish like angelfish and a tang maybe a couple smaller fish too so...
I had a mirror back on my 29 gallon reef and I hated it. every fish I have had is either attacking the glass or staying by the back all the time (I'm guessing they think safety in numbers?) I replaced the backing with a plain blue one and both problems went away.
I plan on testing every week or so but how bad should I let it get before needing the water change. My reef has all softies and it is normally at between 5 and 10 nitrates all the time so should I do a water change once it goes over 10 or sooner or can I wait evern later?
Basically I messed up my back over the holidays and I can't bend or lift much it's been two weeks since I changed my water in my tanks how long do you think I would be able to go before I need to change the water? I've gone 2 weeks lots of times with no problems but never more than that.
those are expensive. I think if I asked for those from my bf I probably wouldn't get my bigger tank and I really want both. So a little too rich for me. another something to dream about I guess.
my apartment knows I have aquariums but they don't know how many and didn't ask what size. There's also nothing in the lease that says anything about aquariums. should I ask them about it? i'm a little afraid to ask now just in case they say the biggest is like a 30 gal or something and they try...
I know
do you think they are worth it or should I stick with MH mabye get 250 watts? I have a problem with heating in my tank it stays around 82 when the lights are on and am afraid a larger light will cause overheating this light is suppose to be much cooler running and was told coral does...
It says on the web site that this light will grow sps
just to clarify I will be getting the 72 light strip not the 12 light strip.
just wanted to know how well they would grow under this light compared to MH.
that's the one I was thinking about the large one I have a viper 150w right now but when I upgrade to a larger tank I wanted to move my viper to my 46 gal and use the led lights in my 29 gallon or should I use the led on the 46 gal? I would like to try my hand at SPS coral is this a good light...
