I have a 125 gallon 6' long tank with an eshopps rs300 sump and a psk 150 protein skimmer. I want to add a better Protein skimmer and a refugium. What is the best way to go about this. I have 25" in height for a skimmer. Also my sumps first chamber has a 16 x 14 open footprint and the second...
What kind of skimmer would you recommend I'm running an eshopps rs300 sump and there psk150 skimmer....I want to upgrade to a better skimmer I have 24" in height to work with and also would like to incorporate a Refugium in that system
Skim was normal and Ill start running carbon tomorrow thanks for all the help I really do appreciate it. I don't think the yellow tangs gonna make it through the night. Should I take the remaining 2 clowns 4 damsels and 1 7" engineer goby out and quarantine them? They seem fine but do did the...
My suck blue seems fine though swimming around visiting the cleaner shrimp here and there but my yellow tang seems bugged out and is hiding in the back.
Any clue as to why the fish are dying though? The blue was the only one with ich but since treatment and the water change I'm losing all the fish that were fine and showed no signs of ich or any other disease. I woke up to a dead tominari this mornin my powder brown died while at work and I just...
Yea the blues been on my list for relocation doesnt have much of a personality compared to the blue I had before him which was eaten by a carpet anemone. a day after the last day of meds i did a 35 gallon water change which was thursday night. When I tested the water before I did the water...
My tangs have all always gotten along just fine for the past 10 months they are all best buds. I have extensive rock work which they all have there own designated areas. I agree that I shouldn't have dosed the main tank that was a lapse in judgment based off someones recommendation. I just need...
So i noticed 9 days ago my Blue Hippo Tang had developed some ich spots overnight. The next day he had what looked like pop-eye to me. I went to my LFS and they advised me to use Pimaflex instead of taking the Blue Tang out and quarentine him. Since then the Blue Tang has gotten a little better...
They were even acclimated wrong....the guy at the lfs told me to float the bag for 30-45 min then cut a hole. Now I know about the proper way of doing it so to be honest I'm surprised these guys made it at all. Looks like I must just be patient and wait a couple weeks until everythings ok
But if adding all 7 at once is so bad why did it take 10 days for them to die. they were fine and very active up until this morning. Just got home from work and 2 of my blue damsels are chillin on the floor still alive though and one blue is fine and my camo one is m.i.a.
