    JAG's 110 tall RE-build thread

So real quick I had to skip out on Reef A Palooza today, I went downstairs at 7am to discover an EMPTY 60 gallon sump, and some really soaked carpet and flooded tile flooring. Looks like my craigslist sump was cheap for a reason. Dry frags on the rack, hopefully they'll survive. I'll update...

    JAG's 110 tall RE-build thread

I came home from work today and one of my new Oddysea 20,000K bulbs is burned out after one week! Lame! Well what did I expect for a $10 bulb? This is the first defective bulb after about 10 that I have bought of this brand. Now if this was a Phoenix I'd be pissed lol.

OK, here's some tank shots from this afternoon: Obviously, there's still a lot of work to be done. I need to screw down the sheeting around the bottom and attach the hinges for the doors on the front. I really love that I can see all the way around the tank now, and the fish seem to...

I had a poci spawn in my frag tank, and also have no moon cycle. Nice! Hopefully there'll be a few more that appear later on.

    Bay Area Heat Wave

Man that's tough, Wade. Sorry to hear it! What I do is keep a few blocks of ice made from RO in the back of the freezer just for these situations. Since we don't have chillers, we need to get creative with fans and ice hehe... These late season heat waves can sure suck though, I guess we all...

man oh man, yes they do sting. And from what I've learned, Acros are tougher than stylos/pocis, which are tougher than BN's which are tougher than montis...

    JAG's 110 tall RE-build thread

OK so last Saturday, I made the big move. This was a long day! Here's a shot of the old stand after I broke down the sump and fuge, etc underneath: Here's the new stand in the kitchen, filling up with freshly made seawater from the 55 gallon barrel outside: Bubble Magus skimmer running in a...

I guess it's not too bad considering it's only my second time using a crap wire feeder; I usually only use an arc welder. Oh, I got my 55 gallon barrel today, it's now being filled from the RO unit. Hopefully it'll be full by Thursday and be ready for some Oceanic salt mix!

    JAG's 110 tall RE-build thread

So, I had all day Sunday to knock this stand out. I got most of it completed, just ran out of time. I Got all my pieces cut last weekend, so all I had to do was start welding. Painting--primer + flat black Holly loves it! It was fun carrying this thing around back through the slider. We had...
