I don't think those red planaria. There is a flat worm that's relatively harmless. I'd get a six line wrasse. Cool fish and constant picker. Blue damsels may as well.
A) Reduce your flow or redirect it.
B) Too much or too little lighting.
Often if you see part of it retracted, it's because something stressed it to retract. In this case you said you had too much flow.
If you go on vacation or extended trip in the future, take note in knowing that it's OK if the fish aren't fed. I would invest in a light timer if you don't have one. That way if you have corals, you aren't giving them too much light.
I believe in trying to keep it simple. Part of the problem with this hobby is all the doo dads and whatchamacallits. I think you'll continue to be impressed with the poo water disposal.

Hydrogen peroxide works as well. It's best to use it as a dip. So if you see it coming back, either take the rock out and dip. Or you can target the bryopsis with a syringe. I'm guessing you used Kent TechM?
