I think your right on both of those. Any idea why the Cyano almost fully goes away at night but then is in full bloom again in the day?

Ok I've got a few pictures here. Just looking for a bit of info on whats going on inside my tank. The first pic is what appears to be an algae bloom, the picture was taken during the day cycle. the thing that gets me is it all but disappears at night. Both photos were taken under the same light...
