I disagree on not feeding brine. I feed Spirulina Brine shrimp almost exclusively and my horses are healthy and happy. I just drop a cube in 2-3 times a day. C

I'm having trouble identifying the type, looks to me like an h. breviceps. Where did you get them? Offhand, my best guess is that something happened when you treated for the ick. What did you do to treat the ick? If you do have an h. breviceps, you'll need to keep your tank very cold...

Sen, I usually keep an airstone in my pod tanks, is that what you are referring to or is there another way to keep high levels of dissolved oxygen in a tank? C

1 teaspoon is way too much! I feed just a few flakes that have been broken up OR I put in a tiny pinch of the dried plankton. Tiny pinch means about the same as a couple grains of rice. Tiny, tiny bit. They will find plenty of food by eating the algae off the rocks and sides of the tank...

Flakes: Ocean Nutrition Prime Reef Flake Food I have no idea if that's what they want, it's just what I have on hand so I put some in for them and I see them eat it so I keep feeding it to them. I only put in 3 or four flakes a couple times a week. I have no idea about the liquid...

Maybe you could start with 9 hours and adjust if necessary. I think you'll have copepods no matter what you do. I feed either dried flaked marine food or dried phytoplankton but the tiniest amount or my water gets really mucky. E.S.V. Spray Dried Marine Phyoplankton

I keep mine in a window, no light except for natural sunlight. I make sure they get at least 8 hours of dark and they reproduce just fine for me. I also feed very lightly; a small pinch of food once or twice a week. C
