How do I know if it's causing a problem? How do I remove it?

My tank lights are on a 12 hour timer. Off at night and on during the day. Is that bad or good? I have a handful of fish and 2 bubble tip anemones in an 80 gallon tank.

Hi All, I was just given an 80gallon glass fish only tank. It has two drum filters and one under the sand filter. It also included a heater of which I can't figure out the voltage. I know I have to do some upgrading and I would like to eventually make it a full reef tank. Any ideas ? Thanks g
