It's been a while so I 'll do a quick update. I added an additional AI SOL led light. With 3 light modules, I'm getting much better coverage and the corals and fish seem to be loving it. I've purchased a few corals and have began to supplement calcium. I've done a minimum of 20 gal. water...
I had the same issue in my tank but with a single overflow. I installed a valve in the line to the sump to slow the draining into the sump. This solved my issue.
I recently updated from a 29 tall to a 100. I think I got the right size for me because i can devote an hour a week to water changes and 10 -20 minutes a day for any other issues. Any bigger would of broken the bank and take too much time to maintain. But, I bet you as soon as $$$$ permits, I'll...
I usually feed flake (Omega w/garlic) and do either brine or mysis a couple times a week. I think I got the algae under control. I change the water every week (15 to 20 gallons at least). I also added an additional power-head for added current.
I had an issue with my Aqua Euro 200 skimmer. The...
Something is terribly wrong with the tank. The Cyano algae will not go away. I have treated it a few times already and changed 30 gallons once and 20 another. I'm starting to get the algae on the glass in just a few days if I don't keep up with it. Any suggestions? Thank you guys. I have an...
I have limited my feeding. I also will increase the flow via an additional power head. I changed the direction of my existing return tubes and power head to get better coverage.I will do my water changes every week religiously.
The water temperature ranges between 76 and 78 degrees. I treated the tank this morning with Chemi-pure algae remover. In 48 hours or so, i'll do a major water change. I also changed the flow of the currents in the tank. There was a dead spot or two. I may need another power head in there. I...
I'll wait and see how it does over the next week or so. I hope it's opened in attempts to feed itself. It has grown almost three times the size (so it seems) since I got it.
