try siphoning it out before you add any kind of chemicals to remove it.
last time a little cyano popped up on my sand I siphoned it all out and there is no more red slime :)
I know it's some kind of anemone, not sure which kind.
I see those all over the rock pools here in So Cal.
A lot of kids poke and harass them because they are sticky... little bastards
Well thanks for putting me on the spot right here
It wasn't until after I got home that I realized my spare 38 gallon tank was useless
I wasn't planning on keeping it in this Temporary! bowl for a long time
Well I have another question
would I be able to keep a sturdy tank on carpeting?
I'm in California and I'm afraid that if we do have an earthquake it wouldn't be sturdy enough :/
and we haven't had one in a long time and I hear we are overdue for a big one
ahhh well he is pretty small now
and i have had a hard enough time convincing the fokes to let me have another tank
I will definitely be getting a bigger tank but not quite a 30 gallon yet (that's the size of my salt and its currently housing some happy fish :) ) once I upgrade I can use it for...
I never buy any fish for my tank at petco (i did once)
All their fish are covered in ich last time i went
and the last fish I got there years ago made a lot of my other fish sick :/ I lost a few fish then
If you do want a fish from there I recommend that you have a quarantine tank
So I have a salt water already but about a week or two ago I had the urge to get another fish, but my tank was already fully stocked and I'm not one to over crowd a tank.
So I went out and got a Black moor goldfish. :P
It wasn't until I took him home that I realized this wasn't a great idea...
my clown is never aggressive
but my Royal Gramma is a complete ass to new tank members
when I added my pseudo he held his own but now that he's been there for a while he's more skittish :dunno:
haha you should name him
I like this guy because he devoured all hair algae that was left over on the rock from when it was in another run down tank in about a week (granted there wasn't too much left after I was done with it :P )
but now he binges on the coraline algae but he's small enough...
