Not to confuse your choice anymore, but of the 400 watt setups I have seen that I liked, they were all very large aquaria utilixing Ushio 10,000 K lamps.
You might be best suited to pick up a copy of Michael Paletta's The New Marine Aquarium. It is an excellent beginner book and will give you the background you seem to need.
