Still in the planning stages of starting over. I think I want to start over using 100% dry rock (BRS reef saver or pukani), and using new live sand. Is this a good idea? Will the live sand seed the dry rock? Thanks.

ok, I will give that a go this weekend. As far as the corals, should I kiss them goodbye? Not sure if they will survive the scrubbing method, buy maybe they will, dunno.

I see you are in the Los Angeles area. Have you been to Vivid Aquarium? They are located in Woodland Hills, on Victory and Varial. They have a website too (vividaquarium.com) By far the best coral selection I have seen in the LA area. Not sure about their prices though.
